Robot doctors, move over Voyager
Kyushu University (Japan) has helped develop a robotic doctor that can check the pulse, blood pressure and other vital data when the patient ’sits on it’ that sounds a bit odd but ok, the data is then sent to a hospital by wireless local area network. I wonder what this will do to malpractice insurance rates?
All kidding aside these robo-docs are intended for use in areas where human MD’s are unavailable or to bolster those busy with other more critical tasks.
